Life of breast milk

I know that formula you can keep made up in the fridge for 24 hours but my midwife told me today that breast milk should be used straight away. Does anyone know how long is OK?

In the fridge at the back 6- 8 days, check and smell tho.

from fridge to freeze, I put milk in fridge for 1 day them freeze, it last upto 3 months I think

Hun to be honest shes just trying to put you off as youve not been bfing long and it will mess up your supply and you will get engorged pumping at the moment.


Unless your going to do it the same time everyday and give the expressed milk the same time each day, then thats fine
