Back when I got pregnant my OH and I agreed he should get Life insurance as he is the breadwinner (and will be even more so during the early years of bubba).

Since then (back 20 odd weeks ago) he still hasn't done it.
So I'm going to start a bit of research - anyone know a good provider?

OH hasn't got the best Ticker in the world (he was pumped full of steroids as a baby as he had meningitus and his lil heart never fully got over it) - so will prob need cover for "critical illness" too. ...Oh the joys!

We got ours through DH's work. Make sure you insure yourself too. If anything were to happen to you and your husband had to keep working to keep the house, who would look after the baby? If your insured then at least funeral costs and a few years nursery/childminder/nanny costs can be covered without worry.

I agree, you should *both* be insured, ideally. We just went with whoever was cheapest at the time and provided the sort of cover we wanted (the payout decreases over time in line with our mortgage)

Definately best that you are both insured hun, we got ours we were getting our mortgaging our house through a broker.... have you tired comparison sites? x

Starting a family is a exciting journey especially when a new member of a family is coming. But to ensure the future we should consider life insurances. Life insurance coverage is one of those things that many of us realize that we should get, but might not have yet purchased. Four places you might get free life insurance.Life insurance is amazingly important, should something go wrong. You could already qualify for life insurance, for free, in some circumstances.
