Having major leakage issues! Hannah was cluster feeding all day amd night so my supply this morning was epic (melons). And they leaked all over the place in bed. I'm doing a feed now and the second boob is leaking all through a muslin onto Hannah's knee!!
Does the leaking calm down at some point? Starting to dread going out as my breast pads aren't always enough, or they slip. Help!!

I can't help you, but tonight, my right boob (the one he's due a feed on any time now) is like a bloody tap! I was getting ready for the bath and wondered why my tummy was wet, hehehe. Up until this point I thought I was gonna be lucky and not leak!!!

It does settle, I dont get leakages anymore but it was very annoying in the early days.

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

I've ordered some nipple shells so I can at least catch some of the milk!! X

I'm still leaking....SPRAYING sometimes. I am so glad we bought a leather settee just before Oliver arrived. Hubby is wiping it down almost daily and went to turn the tele over this morning and the sky remote was also covered. I'm not even expressing at the moment - just think Olivers growth is slowing down as he shot up to the 98th centile at 6 weeks.

Maybe add a few more breastpads in there hun xx

Mine started settling down around 3 months, I stopped wearing pads altogether at 4 months although would still leak a bit when feeding. Now at 6 months I don't leak at all and my boobs never feel full although they are still producing milk cause sometimes when lo comes off he has milk dribbling down his face!

Oh, glad to hear that it settles down.

Umbongo, Ive read about reusable breast pads and the reviews are good too...maybe something to look into? x

Mine don't seem to be too bad for leaking unless Cecilia starts crying and then they leak like crazy! It is so mad that your body recognises a baby crying and makes your milk come out!

Hiya chick

Yes it does calm down but mine didnt till he was 6-7 months, what ever you do, dont express, as your body will think it needs that amount still and will carry on with that much supply, if i was you id steralise a cup/bottle and hand express a little off and save it :) pop it in the freezer and build a collection.

Also i found a good brand breast pads,

It has a jel insert so it turns to gel when full and doesnt leak xx

I only have reusable ones :-

Not very money saving but disposables are so much better than washables. I tried washables last time. But I always felt wet and uncomfortable.

I use Tommee tippee pads. They are often on offer.

And yes the leaking settled down for me last time. It was 6 months before I could stop using them altogether though.
