Far be it for me to judge but am I the only one who thinks today's kids tv is really crap? Where have the Moomins gone? Button Moon? Will O The Wisp?

I miss Evil Edna the Television and of course Grotbags. The Telly Tubbies are just wrong lol and why isn't Barney the Dinosaur extinct? Learning through TV is all very well and good but where's the imagination? there seems to be very little magic in the world any more, or am I missing the point?

I totally agree in fact I've popped the Sooty Show (80's/early90's one) on youtube a couple of time and Chloe has LOVED it. If I put any of the modern programmes on she looks at me as much to say I'm not watching this rubbish lol

Also used used to love button moon when I was a kid hehe

yeah, i think it has gone to extremes - absolutely everything is educational now. Which im sure is good for the kids - but do we need to bombard them with knowledge ALL the time!!!

My DH has put Donald Duck on youtube a couple of times, and him and G sit and watch it. xxx

So where's the magic gone, or do we just leave it up to Disney these days? I like Albert and me to watch a film some afternoon, he loves Aladdin and Mulan. I come from a family where we were all pushed academically but we had so much magic too, I just think its a bit disappointing tbh

Yeah! And what was that puppet that was with Philip Schofield?????

Andi had Ed the duck and Philip had Gordon the gopher....

The moomins <3

I come from the hey Arnold, rugrats, doug, are you afraid of the dark, round the twist, pokemon etc!

 I loved Gordon! And the Fraggles, well I liked the doozers actually lol. Our mechanic looks like a Flump lol

Mr Benn was the best! :). Totally agree kids TV today is not a patch on the old stuff - and the remakes are hopeless.

I'm old, play school and button moon were my faves oh and Rolf's cartoon time lol

Oh yes! Play school - another oldie here! ;-). Liked Rainbow too!

I loved all of the above. Even the telletubbies are outdated now. My older son loved bear in the big blue house I showed it to Lou on youtube yesterday it's the first thing he's ever paid attention to.

aww i loved all those, from button moon to hey arnold and rugrats lol. cartoons for the sake of fun rather than learning, like spongebob and fairly odd parents lol. i miss ren and stimpy

Omg I loved play days! I always used to want the roundabout stop :/ lol x

Don't get me started on Disney Channel...

Full of shows that are utter garbage, actor and actresses that can't sing! Where is the magic?

And they are soooooo condescending! Albert (well me lol) was watching a programme yesterday and this little girl was just looking at this over bouncy, over enthusiastic presenter like he was a complete nob lol. Which, to be fair, he totally was :D

Ah button moon and grotbags :)
There was also one with a family of skeletons but I forget what its called

Loved trapdoor too!
