Well as u can see, I have one day left and for the past 24 hours, Ive been getting lots of BH and hot flushes (I actually have been getting BH more or less every 10mins for the past hour but have now eased), so when do we think it'll happen?? lol

But then again, I thought it'd happen soon for me at 40 weeks, and I'm still pregnant...

The really annoying thing is I'm 5cm dilated, and have been since my due date! All the website pages say I should be in labour by now!

Are you dilated at all ?

Havent a clue about dilation, baby apparently isnt even engaged so MW said but then looking at her notes she had put 4/5 so not sure there...
Have u had anything done, sweeps etc???

Doesn't 4/5 mean the head is almost engaged, but part of it is still above the brim?

I had a sweep 5 days ago, but it did nothing. In fact I was having a lot of braxton hicks before the sweep, then after having it, they stopped solid for two days!

With my next pregnancy I'll be opting out of a sweep I'll tell you that!

Nik, the 4/5 bit means baby's head has only just starting to engage, basically, the bare/bear minimum amount, but she said, when I asked, that baby wasnt engaged at all, completely free then she wrote 4/5 in my notes so not sure what she meant, I made a point of saying
"Is baby engaged?"
"No"
"What not at all, not even a little bit?" and she said
"Nope, sorry"... Then wrote 4/5, weird lol

Lauren, thats so annoying, cant believe they stopped, that would have driven me mad...
So whats there next step/plan then?

Must have gotten that the wrong way round! My mw has never written anything other than Free or Engaged, but then i went from not engaged to fully engaged in 2 weeks

Yeah its basically what amount of head can be felt, so 4/5 of the head is out of my pelvis, only 1/5 is hiding lol If that makes sense...

Yeah, I take risks, I have faith the baby will stay put

If not, she'll have to get the Flash out tomorrow to clean the laminate flooring

Nope, my husband has stayed behind as he has a lot of work to catch up on.

He wanted to come, but I convinced him he'd rather do his work than stay with two pregnant ladies (my sister in law is 7 months gone).
