Hello

just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this forum, it is such a great source of support. My mum went home today and I was weepy and as soon as I came on here I cheered up.

thanks for listening to my MIL woes too and the practical advice. I feel lucky to have the forum, whenever I am struggling with something I tell people

'' off to consult the forum''

I think it will be helpful for us after birth as well. I already have a million things in my head and questions unanswered.

So thanks guys.....invaluable support at an exciting but scary time for us...

xxxx

I love this palce too, i dont know anyone else who's pregnant and it's wonderful to have other people around who understand, regardless of how silly it seems, and to be able to get advise, not only on what is recommended but what actually works.

I argee, came across it by accident searching for something and this popped up :D a blessing really. Don't think i would have made it through my pregnancy without this site. All my questions have been answered and also by reading through other peoples posts i have learnt soooo much. I think all midwifes should recommend it!! to you all xx

I'm the same as soon as I begin to worry about something the first thing I do is consult you ladies :D

Yay for the forum and all the lovely ladies who use it :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

i agree, i dont know how id cope without this place!!

I need this place! Lol. It's taught me so much!
I was told about it by Xena (forum member here) who was on a student forum that i used to go on. I posted on pregnancy in the student forum as i was clueless and she helped me and pointed me here and i'm so glad she did!

I'm practically an expert compared to before, lol, and i know know the difference between a sleepsuit and a vest - woooo!

All right, don't take the p1ss :rotfl: I didn't!!!

Yep, I love this place. My husband keeps telling me when dealing with doctors and midwives that I should pretend to be thick and clueless because it is weird how much I already know - but it's all come from you lot and reading people's birth stories! :cheer:

I also got told off for asking about placenta positions and fluid levels etc and knowing too much at midwife appointments, but i like to know whats going on and its all cos of you guys

aww feel the love! I love this place too and everyone here

xx

Since I joined this forum reading pregnancy magazines is like reading The Sun! The info in them is so limited.
I remember when I was pregnant with James I found them so informative, they're way too basic now

LOL wasn't taking the mick at all :D I had no idea there was a difference... hence why i have 24 vests and (until i found out the difference) 0 sleepsuits. Lol.

This place is great!

Awwww    I know what you mean :)

I find it invaluable also. My hubby refers to me as Miss Forum Queen

I have to say as most of my friends all had their children years ago there is no one I know personally already who is starting a family or has young children. Even my sister had her son 6 years ago now and does not plan on any more. Plus I don't live near to most of my female friends either. In fact, none of my friends apart from 2 live locally to me. Everyone else is at least an hours drive away. So this place is great for discussing everything and being able to pass some girly time :D

Hope you are starting to feel better

I always feel a bit down when my mum, dad or brother leave the UK to go home. Luckily my OH recognises this so he tries to hang around when they leave. I tend to also book something like a pampering session after they leave so that I have something nice to look forward to and take my mind of from missing them.

I find the forum very useful too. You can get immedidate feedback, and people tend to 'care' a bit more than health professionals...

I agree, its so lovely to see the same people as well from tri 1 to the end :) i don't post that often but its amazing when i do i still get all kinds of lovely responses and everyone is so supportive, thanks lovely fellow preggies

I think these hormones are getting to us girls everyones gone all soppy :D

I too have learnt so much from the forum its been a great support throughout my pregnancy and im sure once baby is here i will be using it just as much. :cheer:

Aww, I think this is a lovely thread! This forum has been a lifeline to me. I had so much support through my 2nd mc and then TTC. It has been fantastic to go all the way through my pregancy with you peeps!

I have learned so much more here than in any book, the forum rocks! Since being on mat leave, I think I spend an average, about 4 hours a day on here, if not more!
