I just remembered something that might help someone! :D

My daughter was a great eater, but was always keen to do it herself. Would you guess what saved the day?
An ice cream cone! Everything (savoury or sweet) was put in the cone and she sucked and licked and slurped until it was all gone and we were only left with half a soggy cone. I've got some really great pics of it. Will have to find a scanner! She was about 6/7 months.

Just thought it might be a tip worth sharing. It was much less messier than trying to eat with hands or spoon. Oh heavens.... must have been the "Bree van der Kamp" coming out in me !

what a good idea! where did you get that from? Although I dont think Id like to eat mashed carrots in an ice cream cone myself lol!

It happened by chance. My daughter was making such a mess eating a petit filous and my son was having a ice cream cone. She wanted some and I ended up putting the yoghurt inside a cone... from that day - she wanted everything inside the cone!

She's still a bit of a nutter!!

I might try that, we've resorted to 2 bowls, 2 spoons and no clothes. I'm just glad he hasn't got much hair.

I wonder if they make ones without artificial sweetner here.
Sorry I hate the stuff I'm getting a bit obsessed aren't I?

I used to get them from Health Food shop in Edinburgh... think it was a german make... not sure.
Yip, if you are interested in ingredients, it can get really difficult. I avoided the shop ones because it contains leicithin !(sp) which is gmo.

Most supermarkets sell cones in a pink box with teddies on - it was the next best alternative... do't think it had sweetner in.

I've passed my obsessive stage Urchin   I'm still very causious, but I've had to let go a bit. At least in the UK you have endless choice and variety... here in SA, everything is coloured and flavoured.

Woolworths here is the same as M&S... I tend to do my shopping there, but noticed the other day, they had "Toffee flavoured Cream Cheese" for kids... oh yes - bubblegum flavour too!!!
Monsanto has big business here, which means gmo all round! Afterall, most of my friends wuld argue with me and say... "Too many starving people needing fed... no time to fuff around worrying about contents"!

Geezzz... I'm getting good at changing topics.... just give me a slap!!
