Just been sent for bloodtests for OC

Went to the docs this morning for something completely different but i mentioned the itching of my legs and hands and she sent me straight for bloodtests for OC, just got to wait for the results, has anyone else been sent for these bloods? x x

I asked for thus test last week because I was itchy all over. I then realised that I was having an allergic reaction to painting my bedroom . My itching is all gone now. I've not had the results back yet, I was gonna ask about it when I go for my GTT on Friday. I'll let u know once I know. Let is know how you get on though.

Hi M2A...........I had a rash a few weeks back and had to have LFT's done (liver function tests) and FBC just to be on the safe side (but OC doesn't normally have a rash I think!).............all came back clear which was a big relief. I hope u get your results soon hun and that all ok................at least if there is a prob u are far enough along now that LO is fully cooked. Fx all ok xxxx

Thanks ladies, it was all abit of a shock as I just thought she would say it was my skin stretching or hormones. Doctor said results should be back on Friday, hoping it isnt as i really dont want to be induced x x

Isn't it more palms and soles of the feet that u get the itching with OC? U feel ok in yourself tho don't u hun?..............Try not to worry, they are prob just being over cautious (as they have to be with us pregnant women!) xx

Maybe thats why she decided to test me when i mentioned my hands but apart from a stinking cold im fine hunny. Going to try and not worry like you said its better for them to be cautious with pregnant women than to not do anything at all x x

Yeh, I'm sure you'll be fine hun...........your body has coped with pregnancy before with OC right? So surely you will be fine this time. Just try and rest up xxxx
