I had a similar situation at Christmas my brother and sil grabbed the sofa while I was washing up..there are 2 other chairs but my Nan at 95 can't sit on the floor and my Dad whose house it is has a back problem and had been cooking for hours so I wasn't going to ask him to move...did I get an offer? No, I sat on a hard dining room chair entertaining bro and sil's daughter while they slept comfy on the sofa!

You would think some fit family member would offer their seat. I can understand if she was 40 weeks pregnant cos the floor would just be out of the question for her but shes the same stage as you and someone should have got up for you too.

I am so glad you OH took you upstairs at least he was considerate enough, but like you i probably would have sat on the floor and not said anything, saying that i sit on the floor alot and always have done for some reason, we had neighbours round who tried to give me their seats but i was fine but i think i would have been a miffed if noone offered me their seat in my own house.
