Hey guys, been getting a really itchy bump just round my belly button, but started to get really itchy hands today too and noticed tiny little blister type lumps on a couple of my fingers. Has anyone else noticed this at all or know what it could be. Not used any unusual soap or washing powder so dont think its that, just a bit puzzled, and its annoying me!

have you read the sticky thread at the beginning of tri 3.

I dunno much about OC - but one of the signs is itchyness, so its maybe worth having a read off.
xxx

Yeah there OC but also I have got really bad itching...sometimes its that bad I jsut want to scratch my skin off :( MW said it's just bloody hormone s:( xx

itchy bumps normal. Also normal to become sensitive to things you weren't before. I can't wash up without gloves on at all now I could before. Not even 1 cup :/

ooh blimey, just read the thread, have been really tired but put it down to low iron, and im getting itchy and hot.. hmm will mention it to my MW on Thursday, having bloods done for the diabetic doctor any way so maybe she can take bloods for that too. Hopefully its just hormones but its really annoying me!

I am really itchy and have scratched myself til im raw and bleeding on my arms and legs.
At first they thought I had OC but my bloods are borderline and not bad enough to the amount of itching. I have been to hospital every week for umpteen weeks and had to see skin specialists. I saw my consultant who basically translated for me as skin person was foreign and I couldnt understand her and I have puritic urticaria disorder, basically I am now having a allergic reaction to being pregnant!

I have been given all the treatment there is, steroids, steroid cream, aqeous and aqueous menthol cream and special bandages and nothing is working, they even tried me on tamazepam so I could try and sleep as cant due to scratching but even on lowest dose they are making me ill.

There is nothing else they can give me and it wont go til after baby has been born. They now want me to see a mental health person as they think im now suffering from pre natal depression and am at high risk from post natal depression and wont be able to bond with baby because of what she is putting me through as Im at my wits end and seriously cant cope anymore.

I started with this months ago and no one would listen to me, I have it from my wrists to my shoulders and from my ankles to my hips and will have scars from the scratching.

Tell your midwife and make sure they listen to you, I really hope you dont have what I do as its torture.

Omg I'm so glad someone else has it.

I have been going crazy... Itching all over constantly and can't stop it. Am going to mention it to my midwife on Thursday too.

Aww glad im not the only one, hugs for flaxen, poor you! hope they get you sorted, glad im not that bad, hopefully midwife will be able to shed some light on it on Thursday

My bump, sides and back itch so much I make myself go red from scratching! Last night it was so bad I went and had a bath with bio oil and moisturising bath cream in, washed in my dove extra moisturising wash stuff and then slapped on bio oil when I got out... It lasted an hour until it started again!

I have lost all faith in them, they have told me that there is nothing that can be done and it could well get worse, there is no treatment for it. I cant have a bath as water makes it worse so can only have a quick shower and am not allowed to put soap etc on my skin as it will make it worse.

Also as it doesnt effect baby in any way Im not even allowed her early I just have to put up with it for another 6 weeks at least and it may not go away straight after I have had her. Its a total p*ss take!

My friend had this through out her pregnancy all over! But I'm afraid there is nothing they can do. Went as soon as baby came! X
