It came it came it came!!!!

lol!!! never seen someone1 so happy over a doppler use it lol then break it all up and put the box back togeva hell never know about it lol

YAY! I found the baby's heart beat really easily and listened to it non stop for half an hour lol. Then i had a move around and listened to the Placenta wooshing and i could hear the baby crashing around in there lol. This is goning to help me relax alot!

Enjoy it Melanie!!!

I bought one on ebay at Xmas when I was only 8 weeks.. took until 14 weeks to find heartbeat as my bodette is very low lying... it is such a lovely thing hearing them move and breathe!!

I would fall asleep most nights with it on as I needed to listen every night for reassurance.. but now I can feel her move I don't use it so often!

xx

ive been thinking of getting one of those. Ive seen the cheaper ones for £30. Are those ones any good? Any one tried them?

budge

If you are talking about the summer pre-natal heart montioring system, the big blue things you strap to your belly, DONT BOTHER.... mine was crap I took it back to blooming marv.

I could hear lots of crashing and banging but I know it was not the baby cos when he got strong enough he used to kick the machine off my belly and it never made a sound!!! :?

I would have loved to have a doppler but I am too far gone now to justife the money .... have fun with your melanie xxxxx

Yeah I was told not to bother with those too.. we ended up with one similar to what the midwives use [but with no bpm display] for £55.. best £55 I have ever spent!!

Keely.. you are right.. don't bother now you are this far.. my midwife yesterday told me not to rely on the doppler past 27 weeks as not decisive enough.. what she meant was that the movement of the baby was more of a reliable "good" sign than hearing the heart beat.. she said as long as we feel at least 10 movements in any 24 hours then don't worry about the heart beat or heart rate!!

Maybe I will get a kickometer instead then!!!

Whats the average price for a doppler? At how many weeks can you use them? Im bit fuzzy on this subject...be good to know when I finally get my bean lol!

We paid £55 for ours on ebay - we saw them on there for £50 - £100 but depends on which model... we just went for the basic model the BF500 which does not give the heart rate beats per minute display but otherwise is the same.

Take a look at ebay to give you an idea of what they are like.... there are loads on there.

I think you can also hire them but it works out more pricey that way .. like I said in earlier post.. best £55 I have spent.. defo worth it for the reassurance it has given me over the past couple of months!!

Ours displays the heart rate, we paid £86 for it.

I could listen to it all day lol.

i got one on e bay for £60 and it is brill. i could hear the heart beat at 12 weeks. now i listen every other day and it gives me a huge peace of mind. i glad i got it!!!
