OMG what a story

You did amazingly, sometimes life takes the reins and decides how our children will come into the world, my next will be a homebirth but if it goes wrong and i end up with a hospital birth its for the best.

Enjoy your beautiful precious child and take time for yourself , 'enjoy time, the best is yet to come...'

You've got me in floods of tears Amy! Ok, it doesn't take much - but what a story!

I feel sad for you, as I think you do, that it didn't work out as you had hoped but I am so pleased that Isaac is here - healthy and happy. He sounds like such an alert and happy baby and I'm so pleased that he is recovering well from his jaundice.

I think you are fantastic and an inspiration to all women on here with your attitudes towards birth and parenting so please, please stick around to help us all out!

Thank you so much for sharing what must be a difficult story to tell. I hope you are looking after yourself and not doing too much too soon.

More pics of Isaac please!

Love and kisses

Valentine xxx

What a moving story Amy. The important thing is that Isaac is here and it sounds like he's safe and healthy. It sounds like you still managed to put the HypnoBirthing to use with the breathing through the surges so you would have still experienced the natural feelings. You made the right choices because your baby is here and everything is ok. Enjoy baby Isaac and well done again x

lord almighty.

im glad you are both ok now.

congratulaitons on the birth of isaac, he is gorgeous :)

 OMG what an experience you poor thing but I am delighted it all turned out well in the end.

A Massive CONGRATULATIONS hun you did a fantastic job delivering your baby and welcome baby Isaac he's gorgeous.

Wow, what an amazing story.... I really admire the way you handled it. You made the right choices for your baby, which I know were not what you had planned.

So glad that you have been able to stay positive!

He is a gorgeous little boy, well done!

Wow Amy - many congrats!

Here Here and well said valentine, make sure you keep providing us with your positivity Red Shoes xx

Well done you and welcome gorgeous Isaac x

Congratulations on your arrival of your little one.

Sorry if im being abit slow but did you use hypnotherapy techinuques during your labour???

I bought the Natal hynpnotherapy cd and found it was brilliant and helped me with my labour. I also agree contractions/labour is not a real pain.

 I can attest to the fact that things don't always work out as we planned but as long as everyone is OK in the end, then you know things have worked out for the best. Sorry you had such a tough time - it sounds like you did marvellously well though - breathing your way to 7 cms - most impressive especially for a first baby. I can also sympathise as I know just how horrific contractions are when you are induced with a drip as I unfortunately was with my first baby.

It's great that you are so positive about doing it again - it's so true that all the pain is totally worth it in the end!

Enjoy your little man - he's gorgeous

LBxx
