I have very bad back and neck pain this morning. Can I take Paracetamol?

thanks!!

My gp told me it was safe to take up to 8 a day if required. Hope you feel better soon x

From the nhs website (the only one I read when it comes to what to eat in pregnancy etc)

"There is no clear evidence that it has any harmful effects on an unborn baby. However, as with any medicine taken during pregnancy, use paracetamol at the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time."

I try to avoid all meds now I'm pregnant. But i take one or two doses of paracetamol for a headache without worrying. If there comes a time I want to max out on the allowed dose for several days in a row then I'd call the gp to check before I did it.

My midwife said it was perfectly safe to take paracetamol but nothing else unless prescribed by the Dr. Xx

Thanks ladies! Feel a little better so have hold off but will take later if it get worse.

:)

U went to doctors yesterday due to head aches and she said I'm allowed up to 8 a day. She also gave me so stronger pills which I can take every now and then. X
