Is it normal?

To be getting period type pains?
I've been getting them the last few days and also not actually felt any movement from my blob.
I'm a little worried as some others have felt there's, and I know everyone is different. I heard the heartbeat last Friday, so going by that, everything is ok.

I'm a bit of a paranoid wreck.

My midwife thinks I'm suffering from anxiety and wants me to go and get relaxation CDs etc.

I've been getting period type pains all the way through my pregnancy and still get them now. I just think its your body growing and changing to accomodate baby. When you think how fast they grown it no wonder we get so many aches and pains. It's also normal to get differing levels of movement. Baby may have just moved into a position where you can feel the little kicks at the moment but I'm sure he/she will move and you'll be able to feel them again soon. If you are really worried, please call your mw and I'm sure she'll be happy to put your mind at rest xxx

I get period like pains too - in my lower back and that bloated "Full" feeling you get when you're on your period at the front. I'm sure it's all perfectly normal hon, hopefully you'll start feeling little movements in the next couple of weeks. When I saw midwife yesterday she asked about baby's movement and I said I feel it more days than others and she said that's perfectly normal at this point to feel it on and off x x

I get the period 'belly full' feeling also. It's quite irritating on my body as I feel it's weighing me down when it happens.
The only pain I get is trapped wind, Ouch!

I think relaxation will help you but if you're in severe pain or notice any blood, get yourself checked out xxx

Oh I forgot to mention, I had period pains early on in my pregnancy.
Not looking forward to getting them again if I do.. *cough* labour *cough* xxx

Good to know I'm not the only one suffering from period pains. I thought they would b long gone now that I'm no longer getting them, fat chance eh? Haha.
