Mick appeared on "who wants to be a millionaire" and towards the end he had already won £500,000.
"You've done very well" said Chris Tarrant, "you still have one life line left to use, and thats your phone a friend"
"Everything is riding on this question - do you want to go for it?"
"Sure" said Mick, "I'll have a go!"
Chris read the question out..
"Which of the following birds does NOT build it's own nest?, is it
A. Sparrow
B. Thrush
C. Magpie
D. Cuckoo"
"I havent got a clue" said Mick, "so I'll call my friend Paddy back in Dublin"
Mick called Paddy and told him the question and the four possible answers.
"Fookin hell, Mick!" cried Paddy. "Dat's simple, It's a Cuckoo"
Mick asked if Paddy was sure to which Paddy replied "I'm fookin sure!!"
Mick informed Chris Tarrant that his final answer was Cuckoo.
There was a long, LONG pause, then Chris screamed "Cuckoo is the correct answer! Mick you've won £1million!"
The next night Mick invited his pal Paddy to the local pub to buy him a drink "Tell me Paddy, How in God's name did you know it was Cuckoo that doesn't build it's own nest? I mean you know Fook all about birds"
"For fook sake Mick" laughed Paddy. "Everyone knows a Cuckoo lives in a clock!"
