Hello all!

I just thought I'd introduce myself, as I haven't done that in this bit yet, for which I apologise. I'm also on the brink of 3rd tri, so I wanted to get on with it lol. Not that I'm fantastically interesting or anything, but you know what I mean  I'm 35, and this my first baby, although we'd love another. Not really sure why I'm thinking of having anymore - one at a time is probably a good way to go lololol. We have 6 guinea pigs, although one is sadly very poorly atm, so she wont be around for much longer. She still makes happy noises when we pet her though, so I feel she's ok for now.

I'm not very good at answering any of the questions people have, and I wish I was, it's just I know so little myself, and have zilch experience.... I'm learning so much form reading everyone else's posts though, so thank you. I'm taking a year off from studying for an MA in Egyptian Archaeology (so useful.....), before that I was managing a museum in the middle of Wales, but then I got ME, so had to leave work. Now I'm glad I had the expereince of having ME, as it meant I had to stop in the middle of my life and career etc, which gave me a chance to think about other things than my career :D I loved my career, but I feel so amazingly blessed to be pregnant that it's the most important thing!

Anyway, now you know why I'm always rambling on about historical precedents in a few posts, it's kind of in my blood. Luckily for baby, I'm also quite sociable, and have a wide range of other interests, so I wont be subjecting it to that many museums.....

Lovely to meet you ALL btw, really is!

Aaww! Hiya Rachel, have lots of fun in 3rd tri........the real countdown to bubba begins soon! Won't be long until we see you in the announcements section x

Sorry to hear about your poorly guinea pig - we had 4 guinea's at one point, but they have sadly all passed now and have not been replaced (this was at my mom's house and my stepdad wanted the garden back - )

Wishing you a happy and healthy 3rd tri

Hi  we kind of met on the other thread moaning about giant boobs!

I love guinea pigs but love cats more... and they don't really mix!

Have a fun final few days in 2nd tri.

Ooooooo so we did Maybebaby - my bosom's look even huger now lololololololol. Nice to meet other pig lover's toooooo. People keep on asking me whether we will keep the pigs once baby comes along - I'm not sure why to be honest. Do they say that if you have other aminals? Genuine question this, I am totally bemused lol. My family has a history of allergies on both sides, and I felt it will hopefully be really helpful for baby to grow up with animals - after all they say the best environment for not developing allergies is growing up on a farm lololol (doesn't say much about my housekeeping does it? lolololol).

Cant beleive how soon it is till 3rd tri - so exciting! I had my 24 week check-up yesterday and the dr found a tiny bit of protein in my pee, so I'm hoping it will be ok. Even if it's not, at least the gp knows about it so hopefully we can get it sorted. Felt baby kick from the outside for the first time today which was really exciting. I was in the bath and baby was kicking away, so I put my hand on where it was kicking, held it there, and felt it kick both on the inside and the outside! Magical! My gp felt the baby kicking yeterday, but my OH hasn't yet, so I'm desperate for him too lol. Oooooooo another question, and I may start another thread about this. I tihnk my boobies may have started to produce colustrum - a couple of days ago there was a clear, golden liquid coming out of the nips (sorry if TMI). I was so excited, really happy and I so hope it is colustrum. My mum said she couldn't breast feed me (but then I was a month prem, so that might have been why), but I'm super keen to breast feed baby as I know breast feed can help ward off allergies - can you spot the theme lol!

Need to think about tea now, so tc y'all xxxxx
