Internal examinations by mw

Just wondering if and when you have an internal at the routine mw appointments.

Not squeamish about them just like to be prepared as I don't want it sprung on me at my next appointment.

You don't as a rule. They prefer not to poke around up there without a very good reason these days tbh.

So don't worry, no internal.

Phew, that's good to know. I had so many through the fertility treatment it's nice that it gets a bit of a rest up there for a while.

I was wondering the same thing. I am always worrying about my MW appointment incase they tell me to get undressed and hop on the bed!

My MW did not do any until she offered me a sweep at my 40 week appointment.

they dont do it unless ur overdue and want a sweep, if u go to hospital for a scan when ur overdue they usually give u an internal too..

like the others ive never had one, having a sweep today but thats because im overdue
