Hi I hope it's ok to post here I have posted the question over in tri1 however no reply as yet.

I had my booking appointment this morning and the midwife has advised that I have an intermediate risk of developing dvt and as a result I have to have a daily injection into my tummy from 28weeks until 10dayd after the birth. Naturally I am quite apprehensive, I do understand why I need them though.

Does anyone else have to do this? Or had to do this previously? I've tried a google search and can find mixed information. Would be great to hear first hand info/experiences.

Thank you xx

Hi,

My mum had a stroke caused by a blood clot which put me at risk too, the injections aren't too bad. I've got about 3 left to do! They sting a little at first but aren't painful. X
