I’ve just been taken off clomid and put on gonal Injections has any one had any experience with these?

I’m not sure I’m new to the whole injection thing I know it’s to stimulate my ovaries because the clomid didn’t work just in fits and starts if my ovaries produce decent eggs they’ll then give me a trigger shot butbive no idea if it’s painful or what the success rates are all she said was I was higher risk of twins now

I had menopur and then trigger shot with my daughter and had two follicles but one baby . I used to hate needles befoee ttc her..i mean like so bad i used to vomit if i ever got an injection. But they really arent so bad. I lay down on the sofa and OH did them. They sting a little , not gonna lie but not too bad at all compared to what you build it up to be in your head...I was so nervoud first time. I found stomach much less painful than thigh . good luck xxxx

Ah thank you so much for letting me know how many cycles of them did you have before you conceived? My oh has said he’s more than happy to give me the injection in my stomach. Cliff I’d was no good for me one month it would work next it wouldn’t my ovaries were producing follicles on there own but never matured enough to release so I’m hoping his works x

I didn't like Clomid at all I got no follicles but I ovulated with soya isoflavone supplements and got pregnant but ended in miscarriages. Will yiu have the injections next cycle? soya might be worth a try if not tried it already and you have a wait for the injections? If not then yeah injectibles defo better! We did them with iui because they gave me a few diff meds in the tww to help prevent mc so they wanted to help give the best chance as possible . Will you have iui or anything? I'm not sure how much the odds increase wirh iui ..i dont think its actually a great amount so dw if they arent doing it if OHs sperm is good . I did them for 2 cycles. first round i had one follicle and 2nd round that gave me my daughter i had 2 follicles, one a bit more mature than the other . The side effects from injections are much easier to deal with than clomid i think i cant seem to remember feeling that rubbish lol mayve a bit achy in ovary area and headachy but nothing like clomid headaches or hot flushes . I had 75iu menopur a day xx

I’ve been prescribed the 75 to start off with clomi has made me feel rotten I have to wait u til next cycle to start the injections in on cd14 now strangely had a massive head ache and pain in my right ovary even though I’ve had no clomid or any other meds this cycle. They haven’t offered iui I’m assuming because oh sperm is good and it’s literally just getting my ovaries to mature and release an egg. I’m just hoping it works. I’m going to be monitored more carefully with the injections though I have to ring the hospital on cd 1 and book in for a scan the following week I can only start the injections once that’s booked if follicles are good at the scan then I’ll get my trigger shot so fingers crossed
