Implantation bleeding?????

Can someone tell me what exactly implantation bleeding is please?

The reason is I have had a couple of days when I should have had my period but all i had was very light brown staining - not huge amounts just enough to see, nothing like blood at all, just wondered if that could have been it.

I think you need to do a wee test doll, just to be sure, I had staining just for 2 of my PG's insteed of period, thats how I found out I was PG....
