im sorry to hear that ur little one is still having a tough time but im sure he is a real fighter..
hi i currently have a baby who is in NICU and was born at 24 weeks so obviously had longer on the ventilator and CPAP but is now breathing ok. Premature babies have brady's because they stop breathing for a while or do very shallow breathing which slows their heart rate. They tap them on the back to wake them and remind them to breath again! Apparently they should stop at about 35 weeks gestation but every baby is different. Don't worry too much , i know its horrid but they do grow out of them eventually and they don't let you take your baby home until you are confident looking after them.
emma was born at 30 weeks back in 2006 and sometimes her heart rate would slow a little but not majorly an dwe would just have to stroke her. i just wanted to reassure you that things can get better and i hope your LO is home soon for you
hey, Romi quite often had Brady's. He was 30 weeks and 2lb 2oz, so your little one is a healthy weight
It's nothing to worry about, honest. It panics you and stuff and you feel so worried, i remember, but honestly it doesnt hurt them, it was described to me as they go to sleep, but forget to breathe, once theyve done it a few times, theyll remember after that, and you'll get no more.
I wish you all the best on your journey to bring your LO home x
