Im late but not pregnant!

Im 8 days late for my period and have already wasted a pack of sanitary towels WAITING for it to come and rushing to the loo!

I tested today and was negative, have had slight lower back pain for a few days.....?

Had period pains last week and was sure i was going to be 'on' but nothing.

Anyone have any advise?

Do you know when you ovulated? Delayed ovulation will cause your period to be late. Delayed ovulation could be caused by stress or perhaps illness earlier in the month. Do you feel that your period is on its way or do you think you could be pregnant? Some people dont get a positive pregnancy straight away.

Im pretty sure i ovulated around the 9th Jan

I get period pains about 2 - 3 before i start my period. Do you think i have tested too early? Im not very clued up about this so any help would be great!
