Hello, I am in week 10 today. And I must say that the nausea I have is excruciating. I cannot bare to leave my house.

I'v tried some over the counter tablets (German pharmacy) and they do not help 1 little bit.

Has anyone else suffered with nausea terribly? It has me in tears everyday as I cannot cope with it (Does not hep that I suffer with Emetephobia too!)

I am on a strict countdown for the next 2 weeks when it should ease off just not sure if I can last that long!

Apart from that, my breasts are HUGE! I have put on weight and I have a rather increased appetite for sweet foods. I am in bed by 8 every night, I am extremely tired. Like never before, not even with my first 2 children. So this is pretty new for me!:shock:

I hope you're all having a smoother time than me right now!

Oh I'm totally like you and an empetephobe. Ive managed not to be sick though, you get very good at stopping yourself dont you? My nausea has started to go this week, but I too was very stressed about it and became a hemit. I went to doctors in the end as I was too scared to eat incase I got sick, she gave me tablets but I decided not to take them in the end as I was scared I'd harm the baby but just having them in the house helped me. I wear sea sick bands day and night which I'm convinced help even if it's pshcologically! Ive also been drinking Ginger tea and eating very plain food little and often which I think helps. I totally sympathize with you it's such a horrible phobia to have while pregnant, I'm already worrying about sickness in labour but trying to put that to the back of my mind just now as I wasn't sick when I gave birth to my daughter! I'm sure you will get through the next few weeks, think you've probably got through the worst of it x

Oh Sarah, how glad am I that you have said your a fellow Emetephobe! YAY! I don't panic so much about being sick, I just fer about being sick in public places. I am only calm if I am near my toilet haha! Very bizarre!

I have read about seabands, I think my nausea is to bad that they wont help. The tablets I have are rubbish. I did worry that they would make me sick at first but I'v taken one just before I venture out anywhere (more for physcological (sp) use I think)

I Had evening sicknes with my last pregnancies, but I never felt nausea during the day. So this is really new to me. I thought I would carry the same.

I have my first scan tomorrow morning. I hope the German doctors do not put my dates back I could not handle an extra week of feeling this way.

I hope your nausea eases off soon too hun. How can something so small cause us so much sicky days!

Hiya welcome to Tri 1 and congratulations on your pregnancy. Sorry, I'm no help with the sickness as I very luckily haven't suffered with any at all. Hope it eases for you soon x

I'm a bit like you with the fear of being sick in public but its more to do with anything sick related me or others! I get in a right panic, good job my daughter knows wot I'm like when she's ill! You should try the bands I def feel lot worse when I take them off, they need washing but I don't want to take them off that long lol! Fingers crossed your dates are right and you will feel better soon x
