I think its terrible when they argue with you & refuse to respect ur wishes :(
I've had a boob job & got capsular contracture in one boob so dont want to breastfeed in case it comes back :( dont want another op, cant say this to the Midwives though in case they say something in front of OH though as he doesnt even know I've had them done hahaha x

Because I'm starting on medication as soon as baby is here I've got a good explanation to stop the midwives moaning or forcing me to do it. I was really worried about there reaction when I say I don't want to do it. But now I'll be on this medication and it can get passed through the milk they can't really try and make me do it x

Lol, I had them done before we got back together, I've always had massive boobs but had them reshaped a few years ago after losing weight so to him they look the same as they did when we were teenagers even though I'm now in my 30's :) trust me its a fab job, no scars or anything ;) x

i wasnt allowed to breastfeed and straight after having her i went on 400mg ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for boobys! xx

I'm not breastfeeding either and didn't with my first...

i thinkfirst time around i remember my boobs going as hard as rocks and as big as jordans for about a day and then that was it... i just made sure i wore a bra at night and they soon resumed their normal size and the milk went away within about 24 hours i think?

I paid a fortune for them & got a specialist breast reconstructive plastic surgeon to do them rather than a cosmetic surgeon as I wanted a decent job, nobody ever guesses :) plus I think cos most of it is my own breast tissue & the implant is under the muscle u cant even feel it, even my GP questioned it as I went with a lump in my boob once & she said 'Did u change ur mind on your surgery in the end?' she couldnt tell :) they were so worth the money! I cant afford to get them done again though so no breastfeeding for me!x

I def am. My girl keeps throwing up her formula because they say it's harsh on her tummy. I've been expressing for her and taking it up to the special care unit. I only wish I could express enough so that she doesn't need formula atall. But that will come in time.

Your milk will come in, whatever you do - but it usually goes away after a short while as long as you don't stimulate your boobs etc. I'm gonna breastfeed, if I fail I will express. I've got these gel packs specially for boobs that came from Mothercare - youmight want to try those. I think you can warm or cool them. They're round and have a hole for your nipple.

I havent breastfeed at all either - and tbh, it was painful when the milk came in, I was looking forward to sleeping on my front again, and no chance was that happening! They also leaked quite a bit, then it seemd to stop as they went down, but they still leak a little bit now and again, even now! God knows when that will stop! In the bounty pack, they had a pair of johnsons breast pads, which came in handy.

I was also worried I would get pressured into breastfeeding, but at my hospital, they were fine with it, and I didnt have anyone pressure me which was nice - the health visitor on the other hand, when I was pregnant, gave me the whole 'maybe you should just give it a go' routine - which just annoyed me even more!

Seeing how a friend of mine, has all her time consumed by breast feeding, I know I made the right decision....

I didn't breast feed for a range of reasons and I think each to their own- PLENTY of people end up bottle feeding for sooooo many reasons and even some of the women that preach at you about how they will because breast is best, will bottle feed within weeks. I think good on your for knowing your own mind and not being pressured - I won't breast feed my next either because I felt the bottle worked great for E and I knew how much she was getting etc.. however I will definitely express for the first couple of weeks again to give baby first milk for the antibodies etc...

i think its funny cause my friend and i have kids a few months apart mine was breastfed for over 6 months hers was bottle fed- My son catches every bug/cold anything u name it he gets it my friends son is hardly ever ill.... Only reason i even BF was as i was constantly told its better for the baby :(

I know what you mean but I believe that whatever is best for baby is what is best for mum - what's the saying? Something like, 'happy mummy, happy baby'

I had been toying with the idea but think I will also be a formula girl. My friends were talking about this the other day - one had no intention of breastfeeding and her milk never 'came in', the other wanted to try it and her milk did come - strange?

I decided months ago I wasn't breastfeeding and I now feel comfortable about my decision.

I didn't with my ds n they just dried up in few days on there own, didn't give me much trouble at all, this time i was going to give it a go but as Ive just split with oh i dont no as I'll want him to be having baby from early on n I don't think it's going to be possible as expressing I can't see gettin much

I might try mix feeding n if it don't work she can go on bottle, I'll do first few days so she's gets all best stuff n take it from there x
