my mum and dad are going away for to nites and im in charge ARGH means i got to cook ne simple nice ideas?? and preferably how to cook em lol im useless i know hehe

:rotfl: Oh you make me laugh Sarah

Who are you cooking for?

do what i do.... 5 for £4 at tescos, in the microwave for 10mins ummmm
curry with micro chips pie and smash

i make Dior the easiest but nicest dinner in 15mins with out turning my cooker on :D

she has a cottage pie in the microwave, smash just mix it with boiled water, with frozen veg in the microwave. so cheap too

iv used my cooker once since living here

my mum done all the cooking at home i aint got a clue

I'd make a tuna pasta bake

dead easy to do

you need
2 tins tuna
1 tin sweetcorn
as much pasta as you want
1 pint of whole milk
cornflour
loads of cheese

Put pasta on to boil and whilst its boiling make your cheese sauce
Just put milk in pan and start boiling it add about a table spoon of cornflour stir unti slightly thickens then add grated cheese, stirring all the time, wait til thickens but not too much and take off heat add your drained tuna and sweetcorn to sause and stir
When pasta is done add tyour sauce to it and stir, ut it in oven dish and spinkle with cheese and bang in oven for about 15 mins on gas 5

dead easy and B can have it too

or maybe do fishfingers mash and peas as B could have that too

or tuna sweet corn mayo on jacket spud?????

2tins tuna few dumps of mayo sweetcorn mix it all in and put some spuds in the microwave.... owwwwww i lurve microwaves

or do the same but chicken instead of the tuna?

or a microwave meal :shhh:

 Dionne i am shocked you have only used your cooker once!!!!

It must cost you a fortune in micro meals

dionne, thats terrible, what would you do if your microwave broke

Jo i am going to make that receipe for Kieran and Liam, (joshua wont eat veg). i printed that the other day. :D

i find micro meals real cheap 5 for £4 how much is that each

then £1.30 for a bag of smash i get about 7big meals out of it

and a big bag of veg.

iv never cooked any thing from scratch. and all iv ever used my cooker for is oven chips  me and my fella eat junk

I love cooking, usually make a curry, or Lasagne, or chicken in a cheddar cheese sauce yummy, the only thing I dont like about cooking is doing the dishes afterwards.

Sarah why not make a curry using sauce from a jar really really easy. Cook the rice, cook the cicken diced in a pan and add the sauce to the chicken. walla easy peasy.

Davina i add plain crisps to the top then put cheese on to melt, its great for kids amybe even Joshua would eat it, i'd just take crisps off it for Liam

Dionne that is 80p a meal :D
dunno how you can eats Smash though, it doesnt taste of owt :?

i just add loads of butter. nothing beats the mash i used to get in school though i loved that stuff :D

:? better than my school stuff then :D

If I need something easy I just cook a casserole. Get meat of your choice brown it first, loads of potatoes, carrots, leeks, onion, etc chuck it in water with a few gravy granules. Cook for about an hour and a half. thicken up with more gravy and bobs your uncle. Serve with a bread roll :D

jo that sounds delicious.

dionne smash, really, didnt you watch jamie oliver's school dinners, tut tut.

no?????

well dionne he literally pulled apart all food like smash and frozen food like smillie faces, and anything made by that turkey bloke. said it was all crap. then he went to a hospital in London and spoke to a doctor and he showed an x-ray of this little boy, who never ate proper food, and it was awful. he said that it is common in that area for children to vomit pooh as they didnt have enough nutrition intheir diet for their insides to work properly. so basically they are this crap and it would then forment in their gut then when their guts were full it would come up instead of going down. but these were kids who were being fed nothing but things like macdonalds etc. (i'm not saying this is you hun, just that he was critising things like smash.)

i dont like frozen/microwave foods, they taste like cardboard.

we cook everything from fresh mainly, and have alot of brown pasta and brown rice for the B vits.

sweet potatoe is another big thing in my house, the kids love it as mash.

and loads of fresf fish for that omega thing, lol im terrible, if i new health craze comes out i go right round the shops to get it. so since this omega thing, we eat loads of fish, have omega3 butter/spread and the kingsmill omgea3 bread lol. i also buy those pro bioctic yogert drinks with added omega 3, the kids love them.

i do get teh steam fresh frozen veg tho, its quick and easy in the week, i use fresh veg at weekdns when i have more time to cook.

im very worred about foods i give to teh kids so i always try to make sure its fresh and healthy, they dont have nuggests, smileys or anything like that.

we did have mccy D's yesterday tho, but it was the first time in ages, we go there now and again as a treat.

xxx

I gotta admit i always have something like waffles and fish fingers in for a quick meal, am really picky with them though

I tend to use stuff like this on a Friday as Emily has swimming lessons so is easier to give her and Jack them, then when OH comes home we go straight out

I think they are ok in moderation

As for fruit and veg my OH works opposite a grocers so i just phone him and tell him what i want for tea or the next day
