for boys i wanted middle name john after my grandad who died in 2012 (john is also Hubbys grandads name!) and he wanted steven after his dad who passed away in 2000 (my dad is also called stephen lol)

we did consider 2 middle names or hyphenated but i figured its going to annoy them when theyre older and have to write them on forms lol

so weve decided for a boiy to compromise and use either

Luke Steven
or
Alexander John

depending on what he looks like

and for girls weve chosen

Katherine Emelia (to be called kate)
or
Lucy Alexandra
thoughts?

They are lovely names! Note a huge huge fan of Katherine but Kate is nice!

You've done well to get sorted so soon. We still aren't organised :-/

Love Alexander John, and also Lucy Alexandra. And love Kate as a name too. It's my sisters name, but we don't get on so couldn't have it on our list as she would immediately think we are naming baby after her.

We've got Lucie at the top or our list, and I also had Alexandra, but my husband didn't want it.

I'm just not a fan of shortened names as Christian names so if we called a girl Katherine it would always be kate unless she had done something really bad lol

Edging towards Luke or Lucy personally I did like Louisa but hubby hates it and his cousin is Louise with the same surname

Same as me, I like long name as Christian name too.

I liked Lucia but hubby won't go for the A

I also adored Cecelia but that's not happening lol

Plus I have a friend called Katie and if we called baby kate she might think wed named if after her, the only thing it couldn't be Katie ever as that rhymes with our surname lol

Oooh Jojo, I just asked Hubby if he liked Lucia and he actually does (we do not ever ever agree on girl's names!!!!) so I'm now popping that on my list of potential girl's names which up until now has nothing on it - thanks!

Although I may have to score it off haha as he has just said he needs a couple of days to figure out whether he'd pronounce it like Lucy-a or Luce-ia (I'd def pronounce it like this!).

Well I like it pronounced lu-chi-a but if he allowed Lucia we would probably pronounce it luci-a

I like Lucy because it means light and Alexandra means defender of mankind so it mashes me feel like a strong bright name with hope

I like it pronounced like Luchia too. We can't have Lucy as he had a little baby sister called Lucy that died about 10 minutes after birth but a variation of it would be nice.

I like luke and Lucy :) hope your well xx

Yeah me too lol

It's going to be a boy though I bet

Haha, I am convinced I am having a boy but as my 20 week scan is edging closer I get more panicky about having zero girl's names!

you ahve plenty of time to think of names though

i have a gfirl vibe but everyone lse thinks boy so ill join the club lol although id love for it to be a girl so theyre all bloody WRONG!

i ;love being team yellow! so glad we didnt find out :)

8 weeks to go till due date :)

That's true, unfortunately I feel like I have tired out every single name I remotely like and husband is just not co-operating. He literally describes everything as "chavvy" (even the curtains I wanted to get for the nursery - they had elephants on for Christ sake!!!).

We still haven't decided whether to find out gender or not but it's looking likely we will. Eeeek, not long for you, excting!!

we got bright yellow curtains and a winnie the pooh voile - dont want a blind as the room is quite dark.

i loved cecelia.... still do but he wont allow it... he said no to louisa too which i loved... men are so hard to please!!
