hello, Oliver is 6 weeks old and i am breast feeding him!

I have had all the usual problems people can get when bf and nearly gave up on more than one occasion. I had midwifes out nearly every day helping me, I was such a mess!

And last week i was still un sure aBOUT carrying on, as I was still in pain. I have since discoverd I could have thrush, and thats causing the pain!

I went to the health centre last week to see the midwife, and she asked me if i wanted to sit in on the breastfeeding work shop, and tell the pregnaant woman my breast feeding story and show them how its done!!

I felt really proud, and I am going to carry on now, and even what to encourage more woman to bf!!

I am also pleased as I spoke to a group of people, I would have never had done that before!! I have no confidence!!

I understand its not for all people but at least give it a try,

Well done Jadie,

I knnow it can be hard but whats a couple of months out of your life to give the best start to your little one!

Proud of you!

Well done Jadie

I think the inital few weeks of BF are so hard and even now I struggle at times but like you I am really glad I am perservering the best I can.

No doubt you will be a really good inspiration to the pregnant ladies.

A lady at my local BF support group said that she had been asked to be a BF buddy as she hadn't had any problems feeding her wee girl... to be honest though I've had much more help from talking to people that HAD experienced problems than those mums that hadn't come across latching problems, thrush, mastitis etc.

Well done

Lucy
