:faint: i dont know how i'm going to survive without it!! :faint: there was a plate next to it and the switch got stuck down! i was watching hollyoaks thinking it was boiling for ages! well, i went to make my brew and the whole room was filled with steam (it quickly filled the whole house!) and it was so so hot! quite scary really, it could have been so much worse! and i'm dying for a brew now! and i seriously dont know how i'll function without my morning brew! oh god!!!

You'll need to do what they did in the olden days and boil a pan of water ;) well until you can get a cheap kettle! Good job it wasn't worse.

pft imagine how long thats going to take me to have a brew in the morning! jesus one more expense i dont need!

Was gonna say that, OR bung the cup of water in the microwave :yay:

yeah, my microwave has a button especially for that.
YOu'll just have to test it, obviously it depends on the wattage of your microwave but I suggest about 45 seconds and then test it.

oooo i'll try microwaving it then! i was having a partial breakdown at the thought of not having a brew tomorrow!

this should be less of a PF and more of a "solve all problems about everything" forum ;-)

The exact same thing happened to my kettle last week, scared the Crap out of me! i microwaved the water and it was fine. hope you get your morning cuppa! xx

hell yea! i cant remember the last thread i started that was actually in any way related to anything vaguely to do with pregnancy and children actually! ZMD, its shit scary isnt it?! a friend's got a spare kettle, so i might give that a go, or, if its not too badly damaged, its still under waranty ;)

Most of mine have absolutely nothing to do with pregnancy or children :oooo:

But if i could actually get pregnant and stay pregnant I suppose maybe I'd have more to say on the matter :-(

Would help if I actually started TTC.... lol

I hate having to boil the pan/cooker (when we have a broked kettle or camping) kettle I dont think the water tastes the same or stays as hot.

I tried microwaving it!! Jesus Jayne you must have a super strong microwave! 45secknds and it was tepid at best! I do Es bottles for 30secknds to take the chill off! Anyway it was minging (did it for longer than 45secods obvs!) so I stuck a pan on the hob and had a lovely nice brew!

I use my microwave to make my drinks I make my cuppa in a cup and put it in there as my kettle broke too it'll switch on but won't boil :( so I'll have to get a new one

I now have a kettle :yay: I think I may have been
Here before mind, I've never done water on the hob before now and i got the right amount every time!
