Just got back from shopping and I think I'm going to give it up now for the following reasons:

1) I can't get round the whole supermarket without having to double back half way round to use the loo.

2) They put everything I need on the bottom shelf where I can't bend down easily to get it. :wall:

3) The trollies are to hard to steer through the car park with cars everywhere.

4) People park so close to you so you can't get back in your car. :x I,ve even got a sign that says "mum to be" on the drivers side.

5) It's blooming hard work loading and unloading the car. :(

 food shopping is the highlight of my week

:rotfl:

My mum is like that. She works from home so doesn't get out much.

I usually get it delivered but their computer system has been down :wall: .

LOL, i gave up shopping by myself a few weeks ago, i tried getting some fathers day presents and my friends b'day present, i spent 2 hours in town and was barged past and pushed around so much, i also was absolutely knackered by the time id finished!!

I dont mind food shopping as much, i hide behind Dave, but then i get lost a lot and he has to come back and get me ( i think he forgets i cant squish past people easily and people try and push past me and i cant catch up lol)

I've found that generally people dont give a sh*t that your heavily pregnant and things arnt easy anymore, like bending, but then there's the odd person who'll go out of their way to help or just be considerate and it gives you a little faith in humanity again.

I'd say online shopping is SO much better though, my mum does ours online and it saves hours, she's not happy she's gotta go get it all from the shop 2nite as the website went down and they lost all orders made since monday

:(

that is sooo true, i've had to start going food shopping when the OH is around to help me get stuff and im really not sure which was worse as hes a nightmare to go shopping with

do you find you can bend over the trolly to empty it at the till??

DH does our weekly shopping because he knows I'd spent double the amount! I dont mind though as I HATE food shopping!

I dont go anywhere now because I cant actually drive our car! Im too big! :rotfl:

Im only 5'2" and have the car seat as far forward as is possible, but still need a pillow behind me so I can reach the pedals. Now my belly gets in the way and I cant actually fit behind the steering wheel! Logic says move the seat back, but If I do that, I cant reach the pedals full stop! So I've not been able to drive for about 6 weeks now.
I only passed my test 1 year ago so am getting paranoid im going to need my P plates again once I've recovered from a section as well!

I turn it round so that that I'm unloading it from the end without the handle or from the side.

i do something a bit bad  i get the somerfield free home delivery and i always get it for the times 4pm-6pm. just because i know my 10 year old will be in to fetch it all in for me,, he goes mad because he likes to go out to play football. there is no reason why i can't fetch it in, i'm not ill, only pregnant, thinking about it i'll have to stop doing that

I assume that would be Sainsbury???

It was horrible and busy in there earlier as people needed to go the shop. Even the checkout girls were moaning.

YUP, i may warn her about going if it's been busy, only problem is our cupboards are empty of food!!

I do it online. I know that if I go to the shop to do it I'll leave with more things than I need... mostly chocolate! Last time I done it I spent £120 when it should have been around £40! I popped upstairs to have a peek at the clothes, spent £80 extra!

My OH goes at crazy o'clock on a Saturday morning :D My feet hurt if he makes me walk round the supermarket
