I didnt realise that miscarriages happened so often

I realise this is a very sensitive subject but before becomming pregant (around 4 weeks) and visiting this forum I had no idea that miscarriage was so common in early pregnany..obviously I knew it happened but just from seeing that so many girls on here have gone through it..I just really didnt realise it happened so often?!

Sadly it does .

It was 1 in 3 last time I lost one, not sure if it's still the same. A lot of the m/c's occur before ladies even realise their pregnant though so just like a normal period.

Just remember that the chances of a successful pregnancy are higher than the m/c rate and try not to think about it!!

Hi thanks girls. Its ok, I believe that nature will take its course so its not something I am worring about. I am just truelly shocked at how common it is. This forum has opened my eyes to it, I had no idea x

I was told 1 in 4 only a few weeks back when I had my MC

Try not to worry hun, I know its hard not too
Just believe you will be one of the 3 out of 4. They're much better odds!

i didn't either.

think positive though. as others have said, the odds are in your favour. we have just struck the 1 in 3 both times we got pregnant sadly.

and don't be put off by all the people who say 'oh god, that's early. don't get your hopes up' when you tell them you are pregnant. enjoy it

yes they do happen BUT if you see how many people go on to have happy healthy babies it far outweighs the mc's unfortunatly it's just one of those things try not to worry and enjoy your pregnancy
