Hi , this is my first post on here but I have been reading posts for a while so I am familiar with a few people.
Basically I have just suffered my 4th miscarriage. This time it was a MMC. We had been getting scans every week from 6 weeks and everything was going perfectly until our 10 week scan when the sonographer told us our baby's heart was no longer beating.

I went in for a d&c a few days later but for some reason it didn't work, I didn't know that was possible for a d&c not to work but apparently it happens. So I have been given pessaries and have to wait on the tissues passing naturally. That was a week ago an I'm still waiting on my body starting to bleed

After our last miscarriage my partner and I had several blood tests done and they all came back negative so we have no idea why our babies are not surviving after 10 weeks once we have seen heartbeats at several previous scans.

Sorry the story was so long just feel like I need to vent and talk about what is happening before I lose my mind completely. I am just so unbelievably distraught.

Hi harlequin, so sorry for your loss, i mc at 6 weeks last april, so nature took its course with no medical assistance for me. I hope this is over for you soon xx

Sorry for your loss! You are going through a horrible time! I dont have experience of a @C as I had a natural mc but wanted to give you a big hug. Take care of you and your oh!

So sorry to hear your news. I'm also going through my fourth mc, three of which have been missed. I was meant to have a d&c last Friday, but the pessaries they gave me to soften the cervix, coupled with delay after delay from the theatre, meant I passed the pregnancy. I had medical management with one mc- the initial medication didn't work and I had to have further doses. I'd call your epau/ gynae ward for more advice.
It's so horrible and soul destroying to go through this. They haven't found any reasons for mine either. I'm asking for a referral to a more specialist clinic to see if they'll tests for progesterone, killer cells and thyroid, all of which are going through clinical trials at the moment.
I know it's no conciliation, but you're not alone. I hope we both get our babies soon.

Hi, sorry to hear what you have been going through xx as heartbreaking as it is dont forget to remind yourself that even after 4 miscarriages - your chances of having a healthy pregnancy 5th time round is still higher than the likelihood of having another miscarriage... I always remind myself one day it will work out and the little one will hang on in there it's just waiting for that time to come, I am sure it will hun xx

Thanks so much everyone for your support it really helps to know I can share these things with people who are going through similar.

I am so sorry for all your losses too, I hope our luck will change one day soon. My heart breaks a little each time this happens and I don't know how many more times I can go through it.
