I prepared myself for the worst when my first af was due, but it was just like a normal one so I was lucky. (Although all my af's are really heavy and painful, been to the doc's about them a couple of times).

Get plenty of rest and make sure you eat food's with plenty of iron in them (I heard this helps because you are losing iron when you lose blood?). Have a nice warm bubble bath and make yourself comfortable. Surely it can only last a couple of days this bad. I dont know about tampons either, I always use pads cant stand tampons. If I were you though I'd stick to pads for now so you can monitor how heavy you are etc.
 
hi hun so sorry about AF being bad. mine was also like this and lasted for about 9 days but was only heavy for about 7 of those. it is fine to use tampons, i think te only reason you cant durin m/c is same as after birth because of blood clots and haemorriging(sp). tampons might also make it feel a bit better but remeber you will av too change them more often and id wear a towel as well jus in case. hope it doesnt last too long hun and that they return bk to normal next time, mine did. :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: xxxxxxxx

i told her hopefuly she wont get af next month so she's aking the most of her visit this month !

I had a sleeping tablet last night as i was exhausted from lack of sleep and only just woke up, feel refreshed though like ive caught up on some of the sleep i had missed.

Still got pain but bleeding has slowed a little so thats good!

Thanks girls!

PMT has had me big time today, I normally get it 2-3 days before AF arrives but had it today instead. I've been crying most of the day :cry:
I had a row with OH earlier and threw a candle holder at the wall in the bedroom and put a hole straight through the plaster :shock:

Im normally bad, but not this bad... Im a raving loony.... ARRGGHHH!!! :evil:
