Hi all,
I tried to apply Anbesol liquid on my DD using my finger as adviced on the package, but she dribbles a lot. I don't feel like it's actually gone onto the gum. It's probably been dribbled out, or she swallowed it. Any one has experience? Should I put a cloth in her month to absorb her saliva first before I put Anbesol on her gum?

I always just put it on my finger then held it on her gum where I wanted to apply it for a second or so. You could always try clean her up a bit before you apply it, but I think it works pretty instantly. x

I thought this when I used it. I used to use the gel but the pharmacy only had the liquid. As it was an 'emergency' I got it anyway and thought it was pants. I tried it on my own gum and even with lots of dribble and moving away from your finger, it works.

DH has used it a few times on a wisdom tooth which is late coming through.

Julie's advice is good. Hold your finger on the gum for a second which will help but as she said, it works almost instantly.

Thank you for the replies.

Another related question. I am actually not quite sure where to apply. Her two bottom tooth has come out a little bit already. Do they still hurt? I noticed that she was very unhappy about 1 week before the tooth came out. Now that tooth came out and I don't really know where else she may hurt. Should I just put it on all her gum? I am cautious about using too much on her.

My little boys 2 top teeth have just popped through, the second one although as pierced through gum, he often screams the last couple of days when he bites something. So yes, I suppose once they pop through they may still hurt. x
