How often?

My lo is a week old now and breastfeeding is going well, the only thing that concerns me is that he will usually feed every 3hrs sometimes even 4hrs at night (which i shouldnt complain about) but is this enough feeding? I thought hed be taking feeds every 2-3 hrs? Midwife said it was ok but its worrying me a little x

As long as he is gaining weight and has wet and dirty nappies I wouldn't worry. Enjoy! It may not last long!

I agree! If he's gaining weight he's getting enough, remember his bellys tiny at one week, so your just lucky! He might pick up when he has a growth spurt x

Thanks! Nappy situation isfine and he was weighed today and is not far off birth weight so guess im just being a paranoid mummy! He will most likely have me up every hour next week now ive said that ha x

My little boy used to feed 3-4 hourly round the clock in the first few weeks - he now does 2 hourly in the day and 5-7 hours at night! X
