I'm just moving my lo over from breast milk to formula and have started her on some solids. In the last week or so she's not been pooing as often and her poos are a lot firmer - she also strains a lot more when she goes. As she was exclusively breast fed before I've never had to worry about giving water or avoiding constipation.

How much water do you give each day and are there any foods you find good/bad for constipation? Thanks ladies! X

My Lo is a bit younger then yours but weve done water since she was born on mws advice.
I Give her an ounce inebtween feeds or how much she takes. I think as long as its not excessive amounts and not being substituted then its ok x

Hey! We had this after a few weeks of formula and then onto solids! Can't tell u amount but we just filled a TT beaker and gave it every meal time and offered it throughout day!..... It takes a while for their tummies to adjust to solids and think constipation can b quite common. Foods that aren't great for constipation r things like bananas, pasta, rice. We started our little man on some tins of fruit such as prunes or mandarins which def got things moving! He goes once a day pretty much now, no issues. Hope she's poop happy soon :)
