I don’t remember with my first what she was having but she was on a lot more solids by this point. My son is 8 month on Sunday & is waking at 4-5am due to hunger. (I hear his little tummy rumbling.)

I’m trying to fill him up through the day, on average he’s having
Breakfast: 7oz bottle followed by 4 tablespoons of porridge/cereal
Snack: Fruit, just introduced toast fingers, baby biscuit & a yoghurt
Lunch: 7oz bottle
Snack
Dinner: mashed up whatever we’re having
Supper: 4 tablespoons of porridge/cereal

We try to give him a bottle before bed but the most we get him to take is 3 oz. He goes to bed at around 6pm & wakes from 4am, on & off until we get up with him at 5:30/6:00. He’s still tired when he wakes & is ready for a sleep after breakfast but his nap time is 8am.

Milk is more important at that age, have you considered not giving him supper and a bigger bottle of milk?

Hi, just by chance I’ve popped on here and saw this, haven’t been on for months!

Austin is 7.5m and has:
8am 8oz
9:15/30am 2/3 scoops of Heinz porridge and either fruit, toast or a small yoghurt
12pm 8oz
2pm homemade fruit purée and 2 puff/wafers of some kind
4pm 8oz
6pm homemade veg purée followed by a fruit/dessert pot
7:50pm 8oz ready for bed at 8pm xx

Hi Shepherdess, we tried & he still doesn’t take the milk. He LOOOVES his porridge. I do add milk to his food & porridge.

Hey April, hope you’re both well! The months have flown by haven’t they! I wish we could get 8oz into him, I remember my daughter having 9oz in a bottle but the little guy is skinny in comparison so her & his appetite just isn’t as big.

Tonight, he had a 7oz bottle with his scrambled egg at around 4, then had his porridge at 5:30 & right to bed. Fingers crossed he’s more full up tonight. X

My daughter is 8 months (2/11/17).

Breakfast: porridge or natural yoghurt mixed with fruit puree followed by a 3oz bottle
Mid morning: snack of something like toast or rice cake or rich tea biscuit or pear and 3oz bottle
Lunch: 100g puree with custard pot or rice pudding followed by 3oz bottle
Mid afternoon: snack with 3oz bottle
Tea: 100g puree with a yoghurt or fruit purée
Bedtime: 3oz bottle
Usually one 4oz feed in the night.

We offer her a 5oz bottle every time but she rarely takes more than 3oz except in the night.

She's under review with the HV as although she's gaining weight slowly she's dropped from 75th percentile to 25th percentile and she hasn't yet doubled her birth weight.

The purée consists of anything and everything: she's had fish, pasta, chicken, veggies, fruit, potato etc. She also has some finger foods and loves toast!

A 8 month years old baby loves to move, the amount of exercise increasing, so they more likely to be hungry. Milk is most improtant. Some complementary food like porridge and biscuit are also available to them.

hi, you are good caring mother of your son but you forget one thing give him boil egg. Mash the egg on your fingers and give him. This is also good for his health.
