How Much do you Get? (Expressing)

Just out of curiosity really.
I get only 2oz (1oz from each breast) although I express last thing at night. Starting the fen and two daily expresses tomorrow. Need a freezer full for when I go on my friends hen do in June. Two nights away from my little girl is going to kill me!

Hi tasha, I use the Medela freestyle (same as the swing tbh) and can get anything from 3 drops to 10oz in one session on one boob! It's mental. Some days I'll feed him off one side, then go to express off the other but cant get anything. Attach it to the one i've just fed from and I get another 3oz. it baffles me!

On average though I get up, feed off one side then as soon as I can I go and express off the other and get 5oz which goes in the freezer. I don't ever get much at night.

I dont get much at night either. I tend to do the same as ROL, feed off one in the morning then express from the other and usually get 3oz although can vary from 1-4oz!

If I do it in the morning I get about 6-7oz per boob (although one is for Lizzie lol). If I do it in the evening I only get about 2-3oz, even if it feels really full. My let-down reflex is also really strong in the morning but I barely feel it later on which is weird.

I left Lizzie for a weekend earlier this month and left 130oz in the freezer for mum... 'just in case' lol!!

WOAH!! 130oz?! You nutter! Did you express whilst you were away? I'm thinking i'm just going to hand express in the shower when i'm feeling a little engorged...

Haha I knew I'd be going away so started expressing in January and stocking up! Needless to say, I still have a lot left! I like knowing it's there though - if I got ill or something at least OH could feed Lizzie for me etc

I expressed every 4 hours while I was away to keep the supply going, cos my supply really fluctuates if I give Lizzie too many bottles and forget to express. Had to pour it all down the drain though as there was no way for me to bring it home, was a bit sad

I can express 6oz from one or both boobs at abt 10pm at nigt with a medela swing. I have been building up a store of frozen milk ready for this thurs when I go in hossy for an operation. I have 70oz but I still worry that it won't be enough lol!
I'm going to have to somehow pump and dump every couple hrs while I'm in hossy. I can't keep the milk cos of the general anaesthetic and medicine I'll be having - what a waste . I'm dreading waking up from the op cos it won't just be my head that's sore but the old boobies will be exploding too! :s
