How Long?

Had my 36wk appointment yesterday and MW said baby is head down but not engaged yet.

Does that mean i will have to wait ages now and go overdue? Really dont want to go overdue, am so fed up now being pregnant, just want to meet my little man!

I know there probably isnt an answer but just wondering how long it takes from when baby is engaged to going into labour?

there is no answer. My last 2 engaged as labour started and my first engaged at 28 weeks and I was 2 weeks over due. It's got no bearing on when you will start. I know it's tough but mummies of premature babies would give their right arm for their LO to have stayed put till 36+ weeks.....he'll come when he's cooked

Thanks Mervs Mum, i knew that would be the answer. Just feeling sorry for myself today, cos my hips are killing me and i had a crap sleep (moan moan moan!) xxx

Its rubbish isnt it and the recent heat is not kind to preggie mums

Mines 3/5 engaged but as MM said i don't think it makes much difference as long as bubs is headed the right way your on track xx
