did you get pregnant again??

Before anyone gets excited Im not pregnant or thinking about it just yet! Im just curious as I was told not to get preggers for 2 years which i think is a loooooong time and I wondered if anyone got pregnant say in the first 12 to 18 months and if it had any repercussions for you or baby healthwise.

Cheers!

When I asked the question about how long your body needs to recover I was told that they recommend giving the scar a year to heal. As it happens Lucy is 3 now so I think I'm well within safety margins (not planned, we just never found the time right with moving jobs etc)

I think 2 years is a lot also but if you want to know ask your doc?

Hiya Hun,

I asked my GP and midwife the same question cus I want my babies quite close together (approx 18 months all going well)

My midwife said 1 year, but 2 years would be even better :(

I also asked my GP on my 6 week check and he said 6 months is enough time to let the scar heal.

Theres no way I wanna wait 2 years for my next one.

xx

i was told to wait six months too. sadly i have to wait longer to make sure work pay me ...bah!

thanks guys. we are thinking of trying around Christmas so James will be about 18months when the next one is born if all goes to plan!

Im sure though, that accidents must happen and women who have had C sections get caught much earlier than 6 months to a year.

I wonder what happens then?

I was told to wait 12months as there was risk of uterine (sp) rutpure and 55% chance of misscarriage  :( and placenta privia (sp) woment must get pregnant before then though. I was told after 3months the internal scars are just finishing healing.

i was told in hossy that any pregnancy takes 2 years to recover from

im like u , wanna try when leland is near a year old :cheer:

My friend had a C section with her first and had her second 22 months later with a nornal delivery. She was fine, although very scared about things rupturing!

I know they advise 18 months between children to allow your body to recover as pregnancy takes a lot out of it but not sure about c sections. would have thought once scar had healed it would be fine :?

My sister had her first by c-section (emergency) may 03 then her second again by c-section(emergency) Dec 04 and her third again by c-section(planned) September 06

So she was pregnant again after 10 months then again after 12 months!!

Jessica was 18 month by the time I was pg with Joe after her section.
I had no problems with the pregnancy and even though my second section was planned I went into labour first and had no problems in the five hours I was contracting. After the section though I had trouble with the wound but I dont think that was to do with there being a small gap between pregnancies.

For the record though, I wish I had tried harder at labour the second time instead of going for the section.

Yeah i wish i could give birth naturally but unfortunately my pelvis is far too small to fit a baby through....which they found out after 30 hours of labour the first time round...gah! :x

Ha ha!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I know! They said the combination of my small pelvis and the extra large size of my baby meant he would never have come out!!
But even if I have a "normal" sized baby my pelvis is still too small apparently. :wall:
