silly question i know, but i actually dont know how to tell?

thanks ladies in advance for any replies x

I just let my lo suckle until she comes off the boob herself and then presume she has emptied it especially if it feels a lot softer. Other than that I don't actually know lol xx

Thanks, yes its very hard to tell!! Im forever weighing them up in my hands!!

Technically they are never empty as they constantly produce.

The best thing to do is to reoffer the same breast when baby comes off the first time, in case they are being cheeky and just wanting the sweet foremilk.

A 20 to 30 minute feed on one boob should be enough for baby to have gotten the hind milk. You will get to know your own body as time goes on and you'll be able to judge by the poos. Any green poo may mean they are having too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk.

I found that mine would usually be practically empty when it went extremely soft :) I used to alternate breasts at feeding time. I did find though Charlotte had a favourite breast lol & would only settle to sleep on that boob :shakehead:
