Hi!

I've never really been keen on the idea of looking through Baby Name books etc to find our baby name, just thought it was something that would come.

My Daughter's name is Ava after the Amy Winehouse song October song, just heard it and decided yes!

Me and The OH are due to start ttc soon and we already have our names sorted!

OH is a massive Chelsea FC fan, Season ticket holder the lot so for Lampard, and this is also the name of Amy Winehouse's first album so it links with Ava, for a boy we're going to go for Frank.

We also met on 11th November so if it's a girl we're going for Poppy.

Just wondered where you all got your inspiration from and any meanings behind names.

xxx :)

I watched Con Air when I was 17 and decided Cameron was a cool name  that's 14 years ago but I always knew I'd call my son that. Fancy naming your son after a convict in a film. Oh well!

We named him William as it is my dad and brothers middle names but nicknamed him Billy as my dad is known as Bill. X

Jack is named after one of my Grandad's Brothers. My Grandad was 1 of 14 children and when we told him it was either Jack or Harry he told me about his little Brother who fell from scaffolding when he was 7, walked home fine but died that night in his sleep :( Jack stuck from then and my Grandad often referred to him as Jacky after his Brother. Sadly my Grandad passed away in March so I love having a reminder of him in my Son!

We're still undecided on baby boy no.2's name but I doubt it'll have any relavance to it. It'll just be a name we love :) x

I bought a book and narrowed it down to 3, DH liked 2 of them but I was talking to GP when I was heavily pregnant and he said you're carrying a precious baby as it had taken me 20 years to get that far so I got thinking of precious stones, hence Ruby (and red is my fave colour). As it happened she looked like a Ruby, if she had looked like any of the others I'd have changed it, glad I didn't have to as its fitting :)

we have picked our boys names but not decided on any girl names yet. im a writer so i have a long list of character names i love and the two boys names are from that list but we cant agree on any girls names as i like unusual names and hubby is not so keen. tho he is ok with the two boys names of kaden and kalin. so there could be hope for him yet lol

I trawled website after website, picked a name, changed my mind a few days before my due date, before we finally decided on Cameron. It has no special meaning, we just both liked it!
