How did this happen??

I was texting my sister via iMessage.. Then I got a reply saying who's this.. So I said its your sister dipshit lol and I got 'I'm sorry you've got the wrong person and wrong phone number'... Wtf?? I thought she was having a joke but I asked my mum and she got the same back!!! Our messages were sent to another person via iMessage!! My sister couldn't see their replies.. Apparently they just got an iPhone and started it up, set up iMessage and got messages from me and my mum!!!
Any idea how this happened?!?!
My sister was still texting me through the messages!!

That sounds seriously weird! No idea Hun! BUT I have had problems with iMessages not delivering-Me & oh were texting each other from different rooms (don't ask!) I got a delivered message but the message didn't actually get to him. Happened couple of times after that too. Seriously not good if it's an important message or you doubt the other person is telling the truth about getting your message. I have just switched imessenger off now. Hope you get to the bottom of this x

Now she's getting messages from this persons mate!! Really not good!! I told her to change her apple id password in case it's that but it's not made a difference! This person won't give up their name or number which is odd!! I'd want to know what's going on wouldn't you?? Think she's gonna call Vodafone and see what they say!

Lol you reminded me of a phone call between me and OH a while back! All of a sudden mid convo, some girl started yapping away to me instead of OH! Then all of a sudden I got abuse of her asking wtf I was on her fellas phone!!! I crapped my pants and put the phone down! OH rang me back and said , what the hell! Some guy just started asking me why I was on his girlfriends phone! Our phones had obviously switched users mid convo!!! X

Well she called Vodafone and they said it could be her number is still stored on the phone she sold on eBay months ago.. She told the girl to call them and they'll tell her how to get it off.. A simple phone restore should do it but she hasn't done it yet coz she's still getting texts from her mates idiot!!

Yeah!! It's mad! But they say it's down to my sister to have wiped the phone properly before selling it end of the day it's a different sim a different apple id so it should be okay!
