How are you meant to dispose of computer bits?

My OH has had a box of the things lying aroung for ages (since I was pregnant!) and they are doing my head in. He said he wants to know how he can get rid of them properly but then doesnt bother to find out for himself

I suggested freecycle but he isnt keen on the idea for some reason.

Your local household waste centre will take them. They have special sections for comp stuff.

Don't leave it out with your normal waste, if you ring your local council they will advise you on their preferred disposal, most will arrange special collections which are separate to your household waste.

The tip is good, but your council will probably collect for free if you ring them and arrange it.
