I know this probably sounds like a stupid thing to think of, but me and DH are going on our 'honeymoon' when I am 34 weeks. It's only to Cornwall, but is around 5hours drive from home. I know I should take my pregnancy notes with me just incase we need them and obviously know where the local maternity ward is etc

But after watching how I met ur mother and seeing them take the baby car seat with them on a trip at 35 weeks, its got me thinking do I need to take our baby car seat or hospital bags? I know it's just a tv show but I'm not sure what to do! I know it is quite unlikely for baby to arrive 6 weeks early but do we be prepared just incase? Xxx

I went on honeymoon to Cornwall at 31 weeks, I took my notes and a small emergency hospital bag. Oh said not to take the carseat and if I had her he could run into tesco/mothercare etc and pick up a cheap ish one to get us home

I love cornwall!

I would say if you have the space in the car it wouldn't hurt to bring carseat... May make you a bit more giddy and in the mood for honeymoon loving!

maybe don't fit it though? (so it doesn't seem less new when you do it for reals).

I think it would be wise to take the car seat at the very least Kanga, it's quite expensive to buy another if you do happen to need one while you are away. I would probably take my hospital bag as well, if you've enough room it can't do any harm to be organised just in case! Enjoy your honeymoon! We never got round to having one xxx
