hmm what will happen?

I thought that employers had to do everything they could to ensure that the job poses no danger to you or unborn? And isn't it discrimination if they sack you for pregnancy?

Just what I've heard. But the Citizens Advice Bureau are the best people to ask
xx

Tell him you didnt know you were pregnant until late on. I dont think he can sack you for being pregnant.

Rachel if i remember correctly you don't have to declare pregnancy to an employer until 24 weeks, but he cannot sack you for being pregnant as its discrimination. Sorry don't know much else about working during pregnancy other than this, i hope you manage to get things sorted tomorrow, best of luck. :D

I've read up on my companys policy on "new and expectant mothers" (do the same if you can)
You CANNOT be sacked for being pregnant even if you are incapable of doing the job, your employer has an obligation to find alternative work that you can do or if this is not possible you need to come to some sort of agreement I think that one of the options is to be suspended on full pay (which personally I would LOVE to happen!!) The job I was doing was impossible to do when pregnant so they gave me all the admin to do which I dont mind at all.

Yeah, I would agree with this. You're best off getting some proper advice from CAB. Don't agree to anything without checking it out first.

Good luck!
