I'm starting to look into high chairs but it seems to be a minefield.

I want it as cheap as poss, need it to recline & I want it to be a hi lo chair.

What high chairs do u all have?

I want to do BLW with Henry but didn't want to wean until he was 6 months but I'm gonna talk to the health visitor tomorrow about starting in a couple of weeks when he reaches 5 months. He is usually a quiet baby in evening with regards to whinging (talking is a different story!) but when we eat he whinges from the moment I sit down to the moment I finish. As soon as I stop eating he stops whinging. If we r out & I'm pushing the pushchair eating something he intently watches me and makes grabbing movements with his hands & squeals at me. He has taken food off my plate before and it's headed towards his mouth but i rescued it from him.

The things putting me off is knowing his tummy isn't ready until 6 months & he can't sit unaided.

Has anyone else started BLW early (lorna I know u have!) and any tips or hints for me?

Tapatalking so can't see tickers :(

ive sort of started giving Lyssa a mix of rusk either solid or mixed with her formula and breadsticks and juice. i figure if she likes these i'll carry on adding things in eventually. im gonna go with broccoli and carrots next steamed so theyre softer. she seems to like feeding herself lol and loved rusk. i got a highchair free off fb groups, its a chicco one but a bit big for her really and a bit old so im probably gonna be on the look out for a new one. im only giving lyssa food once a day for now, probably wont give her more than a lil bit til she wants it either. id let him have steamed veg or breadsticks / rusks as they go soft really easily

Watch about the breadsticks. I was warned to steer clear of things gluten till the 6months.

I know everyone says different things, but our HV seemed pretty clued up, and accepting that G was ready to go before 6months, so I figured this was worth listening to.

yeah i dont offer them much, she prefers the rusks anyway but i was eating one and she wanted so i let her have a munch lol. only reaction so far was when she got hold of my yoghurt spoon and nommed it. way too milky for babies is my greek yog mullerlight lol. she got a couple of spots after it so deffo being more careful when i eat with her on my knee. she lunged at my noodles the other day and spilled them on the plate. good job i never have hot food near baby by the time i get it when shes being a pain and i have to hold her a lot.
tried her with the hipp porridge i got in the post today, not impressed and i dont blame her it was yuck.

Lol. Yeah, G was nearly away with my mars bar yesterday, I had half of it in my hand, carrying her and tidying up, didn't realise she was that close.
Lol.
