So the first few times baby got hiccups I thought it was cute and funny but the novelty has really worn off now. They go on for ages and starting are to annoy me, it makes me cringe now! Anyone else feeling like this? Is there any way to stop it or prevent it? Sounds silly but I hate people getting hiccups anyway as I think they might get sick or something (I have a vomit phobia), so it's making me feel weird and baby seems to get them a lot just now.

No way to prevent them, they swallow the fluid because they are practising to breath and then hiccup. I do understand it can be quite annoying, can go on for ages but i am afraid there is not much you can do

I only felt hiccups for the first time maybe 5 weeks ago, was amazing but not felt it since then, mind u my baby is back to back maybe thats why.

:)

Maybe its something I'll just get used to or baby will change position and wont be so obvious! I only noticed a few times over the last few weeks but this week it seems to happen a lot now, maybe baby just having a week of breathing practice!

My LO gets them alot too. I'd mind a whole lot less if with every hiccup she didn't headbutt (or punch, i know she's engaged, so i assume its other parts of her body now) my bladder or my bowel with every single jolt!
