OK...well I'm here. Don't really know what I'm doing, but here goes.

Erm...hello...

I'm 33, and had a positive test this morning. This is my first time, so I haven't got the foggiest what to do next, but I'm making a doctors appointment on Monday and taking it from there.

I've read SO much on the 'net today about pregnancy and babies...I think my head may melt!

Hello Marlene
Congratulations and welcome!
There is a lot of information out there so try not to get bogged down by it all. Best thing to do is get to the GP, as you plan to do Monday and take it from there. Forums like this are then a great place for support through the rest of your pregnancy. I'm expecting my first too so can understand how daunting it can be looking into it all! But its exciting too!

Thank you. I'm doing OK this morning...beginning to get my head round the idea a bit more. Partner and I spoke lots and lots when he got home from work yesterday. We're both very happy, so just see what the trip to the doctors brings now.

I should really stop reading the 'net now and go to work. A melted head all over the place could be very messy!

hi and congrats, im having my second ( after a 10 yr gap) and my head is still in meltdown lol. Best thing to do is get a good pregnancy book, couple of mags ( pregnancy and birth is a good one) and just try and relax as much as you can, the next 9 months are going to be strange enough without overloading your head, hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy xx

I'm here again. I only tend to get on the 'net while I'm at work y'see, so I'm afraid it's not going to be a daily drop in for me. I'm having a panic regarding finances just now, but I'll go post that elsewhere for a spot of advice!
