Help with treatment?

I have never had thrush like his in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been awake pretty much all night with it and sorry for TMI but i think i have itched myself raw Doctors can't give me an appointment till the end of the week to get prescription so i am going to chemist as soon as it opens... what is the best stuff to get for pregnant women?

I'm pretty sure that Canestan cream is ok to use during pregnancy.
With the combined treatment (cream & pessary) pessaries can't be used with the applicator during pregnancy apparently.
Natural yoghurt is supposed to work too althought I've not ever gone down that route (unlike a friend of mine who got the wrong end of the stick and used natural STRAWBERRY yoghurt :/ tmi! )

I had this the other week too - it is horrible isn't it? Drove myself mad with the itching all the time, I itched so much I started bleeding!!

Cannestan is the best thign for this - the cream literally sorts it out really quickly, I applied some and felt better within an hour. It completely cleared it up within 24 hours too.

Pharmacists are not supposed to sell it to someone who is pregnant - you have to get it through your GP - but when I had it, I just spoke to the receptionist who asked a doctor and he looked at my file and then prescribed it within about 10 mins.

Maybe your doctor would do that? I know some insist on seeing you, but maybe you could ask if you could just get a prescription? Or could you get an appointment with a nurse quicker instead?

Until then - wear your biggest most unsexy cotton pants - they are most comfortable while you wait!

ive had this yoo...well i presume thats it ive never had thrush before only once last time i was pregnant it does get really bad but just as i think about getting something for it, it seems to clear up. i will be getting something ready tho for next time....also i seem to have it real bad after sex (tmi) like its agrivated it or something? even if i had no symptoms before sex i have them after for a day or two.....i am getting on top if it next time! (the tgrush that is) lol . i also dont know what creams we can use so if you find out.....in terms of the docs...at our docs you can make an app to see the nurse loads easier and quicker for stuff like this and then she can get the doc to sign the script.. good luck let me know how you get on xxx

Chemists won't sell it too you hun they're not allowed to.

Would do as other have suggested and speak to doctors surgery. I actually spoke to my midwife and she got doc to do a prescription for me

I got a prescription for the pessary and cream and the cream took effect almost instantly!!

You were all right, the chemist would not sell me any and said to see my GP so i went straight there and refused to leave until someone saw me lol She tried saying she could not get me in what so ever till 2 days later!!!! There was no way i was going through another night like the one before so told her i aint leaving so she put me in with a nurse 10 minutes later lol

She gave me a prescription of the cream but said as i was pregnant i could not have anything else only cream The chemist could not believe i was back with a prescription 20 minutes later lol!!

I had this too hun and it was sooo itchy it was driving me mad (tmi sorry!) but I got canestan cream which is perfectly fine to use as long as you only put it on the outer bit and not actually inside u. The relief was instant for me and it cleared up after about 4 days xxxx
