Right ladies I really need your help, we have been set on the name Jack Devon (Narracott is the surname) for months now, until we read in the paper the other day that Jack is the most popular name in 2007 and 2008 in the UK.....

SO we are now considering Devon Jack instead to make it a little different!

We only have a few days left to decide and I guess it all depends on whether he looks like a "Jack" or a "Devon" when he is born.......but which one do you prefer???

Would very much appreciate your input!

personally Jack is a lovely name but way too popular for me, we thought that even in 1999 when I was choosing for DS and I would say its more popular now, however if you love it he will always be your jack :D

so for my reason I chose Devon- which is a fab name BTW

I think the name Devon is lovely, really unusual but not so unusual that it stands out if you know what I mean! At least there wont be 5 other Devons in the same class at school too! I do like Jack but as a nanny Ive found that every group or job I go for there is a child called Jack somewhere and I prefer something a little bit different.

Thanks ladies.......it would seem its almost a 50/50 split :D

I picked Devon hon, I think Jack's a lovely name but Devon sounds distinguished and different. Either combination is great though. Can't wait to see the piccies of your little man
